Sheepskin Care

It is best to keep sheepskin rugs out of direct sunlight as the UV rays can cause damage to the natural fibres and to the dye colours. They should not be exposed to wet or damp conditions which can damage the leather pelt. Regular brushing with a sheepskin brush or wire comb will keep the fibres in good order. Light staining should be spot cleaned with a damp cloth and dilute wool detergent. For thorough cleaning, specialist Dry cleaning is recommended, but sheepskin rugs can be washed as follows.

Washing Sheepskin Rugs

Shake the rug out of doors to remove as much dust and loose surface dirt as possible.

Use a specialist sheepskin shampoo or non-enzyme liquid soap. Dilute two or three capfuls in a bath filled with four or five inches of cold water.

Place the rug in the water and agitate gently, using your fingers to comb through the wool pile. Rinse well in fresh water.

Roll up the rug and squeeze gently to remove excess water.

Lay the rug flat on a clean dry towel and allow to dry naturally.

Keep away from sunlight and direct sources of heat. Do not tumble dry. When the rug is completely dry fluff up the pile with a sheepskin brush.

Once you have placed an order it will be despatched the same day or the next day depending on the time the order was placed. Orders placed over the weekend (after midday on Friday) will be despatched on a Monday. For collection from store - please check current opening times on the Visit Us page.

If you should refuse delivery of goods, or are not available to accept the delivery on both delivery attempts, you will be required to cover any extra costs incurred.

Returns

We hope you will be pleased with your purchase. If you should wish to return anything bought from us, we will be happy to refund or exchange an item provided it is in a resaleable condition. We cannot, for hygiene and copyright reasons offer refund or exchange on the following items, unless they are faulty; pierced jewellery, cosmetics, CD's and DVD's if the seal has been broken. Items should be returned in the original, undamaged packaging within 28 days, with receipt of purchase.

We will refund the price of the item to the purchaser or exchange the product when it has been received by us. We will refund the delivery charge only if the goods are faulty, damaged or incorrect.
